The substantial case with glazed side panels, the glazed trunk door with applied carved mouldings, 14½ in. wide cartouche-shaped gilt dial with scroll and floral engraving, applied gilt chapters, the arch with rolling moon above subsidiaries for chime/silent and Whittington/Westminster chime, blued steel hands, the movement with dead beat anchor escapement, maintaining power, striking the quarters on eight tubular bells and the hours on further tubular bell; mercury jar pendulum (mercury removed), three brass weights, case key
