Tasting Note: Several notes, three in the mid-1990s: deep, richly coloured; an earthy yet exotic fragrance, full-bodied, fairly high alcohol and quite a tannic bite. Most recently, at dinner after a DRC tasting, all the bottles were hazy which I put down to pouring without decanting though M de Villaine said that all '90s were hazy (?) By now medium-deep, open rim; bouquet distinctly spicy, herbal, sage; sweet, a substantial mouthful, tannic texture. Great potential. Last tasted March 2006 **(***) 2010 - 2025? M.B.
