Lyre-shaped, chased in the Islamic taste with flowers and saz leaves, the caps set with imitation sapphires, with chain and clasp engraved F.T.B. 258 Madison Avenue, marked on clasp and caps, also 7482/7517; together with a circular box, the hinged cover decorated with putto, with chain, marked on bezel, also 9115/7018

Lot Essay

This flask belonged to Florence Tucker Baker, the wife of banker and philanthropist George Fisher Baker (1840-1912) who provided most of the funding for Harvard Business School.
