Edo Period (late 17th century)
The oviform vase with short neck and domed cover decorated in iron red, blue, green and yellow enamels on underglaze blue with chrysanthemum flowers and cherry blossom amongst rockwork and grasses beneath a band of hanabishi and geometric designs, the cover similarly decorated with further flowers
