The door panels with gilded stylised flowerheads on a lacquered red ground, the interior gilded on black with scattered stars and flowerheads, the interior with a later ink painting, signed Wang Qian (1864-1935), dated 1901 and inscribed 'A traveller stops at Shen Jiang'
