Lot Essay

In 1951, Mary Potter moved to Aldeburgh, where she lived at The Red House. In 1957 it became the home of Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears, and has been preserved and maintained since 1986 by the trustees of the Britten-Pears Foundation.
