QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

The compressed globular body raised on three cabriole legs issuing from gilt-copper lion masks and decorated with lotus scroll bearing blossoms supporting shou characters and surrounded by bats below a lappet band at the shoulder, the waisted neck with further shou characters framed by bats and lotus sprays, mounted at each side with pierced upright handles, the cover en suite and pierced with quatrefoil panels enclosing shou characters and bats, below a globular knop pierced with a dragon amidst clouds
