Finely enamelled in vivid colours to depict a continuous narrative scene around the cylindrical body with a general accompanied by a group of attendants talking to a half-kneeling soldier next to a female figure holding a banner with a further official on horseback approaching from behind, all among pine, maple and willow trees issuing from the rockwork beneath billowing clouds, the sloping shoulder encircled by a band of meandering lotus and ruyi-heads, the tall ribbed cylindrical neck decorated with bands of floral scroll, wave-pattern and ruyi-heads, the mouth with a band of keyfret
