YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN DOUBLE-CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The interior decorated with a medallion of an iron-red flower borne on a leafy stem surrounded by a dense ground of scrolling tendrils, the same motif repeated as a frieze on the exterior above a band of multi-coloured ruyi heads

Lot Essay

A single smaller (16.2 cm. diam.) Yongzheng marked dish of the same pattern from the collection of James Alsdorf was sold at Christie's New York, 22 March 2007, lot 346 and a pair of smaller (16.2 cm. diam.) dishes of this pattern from the Doris Duke Collection, was sold at Christie's New York, 21 September 2004, lot 330.
