A FINELY CARVED YELLOW AND RUSSET JADE PARROT
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)

Finely and naturalistically carved in the round looking ahead with its beak inclined slightly to the left, the wings held close to the body and finely incised with overlapping plumage folding over the extended tail, similarly detailed, its talons tucked neatly under the body either side of an aperture extending through the body
