CIRCA 2ND CENTURY A.D.
Cast with a facing head of Medusa in high relief, her hair a wild mass of long radiating locks, the individual strands incised, wisps curled in on each cheek, two large wings upraised from the top of her head, the feathers finely delineated, two snakes knotted below her chin, scales along the edges of the boss, perforated twice along her hair for attachment
