Slightly tapering étui of octagonal section, the cover and base engine-turned with vertical reeding, stamped with scattered flowerheads and pellets on the base and pellets on the cover, framed with horizontal bright-cut bands, the sablé borders chased with green gold laurel leaves, ovolos and scrolling foliage, the domed coffer lid embossed with green gold rosette, the matrix with two coats-of-arms accolé

The arms are those of Roland de Challerange accolé with those of Dudoyer de Vauventriers.
