Woven with a large motif incorporating oak leaves and acorns, and inscribed in a 19th century hand to each corner

Provenance
Commissioned by John Poyntz, 5th Earl Spencer (1835-1910) when serving his first tenure as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland 1868-1874, combining the Garter and Irish emblems with his family arms.
