Each piece engraved with an initial 'A' below a viscount's coronet, comprising: two cologne bottles, two circular boxes, a travelling inkwell and a shaving brush, the cover fitted with detachable compartment containing five of the original eight ivory-handled implements, all contained in a fitted green leather case
The case 9 in. (22.8 cm.) long
The initial is that of John Poyntz Spencer, Viscount Althorp and later 5th Earl Spencer (1835-1910).
