A SET OF TWENTY-THREE SILVER-GILT MOUNTED AGATE CHEESE KNIVES

The plain handes with scroll ferrule, the steel blades etched with Spencer crest within the garter motto below an earl's coronet, all contained in a fitted oak case, at least two handles repaired, one handle possibly replaced, seven blades replaced
The crest is possibly that of John Poyntz, 5th Earl Spencer (1835-1910). (23)
