The moulded circular lid carved with egg-and-dart and acanthus, surmounted by a flame finial, above a gadrooned body flanked by lion supports, on a stepped tripartite socle

With its finely carved design in rosso antico marble this tazza is comparable to two tripods of the Louvre collection, shown in the Catalogue Louvre Museum, Les sculptures europeénnes du musée du Louvre, Paris 2006, pl. MR 1015 and MR 3098.
