Château Mouton-Rothschild--Vintage 1975
Pauillac, 1er cru classé
Badly bin-soiled labels. Levels: one into neck, two base of neck, one top-shoulder
Tasting note: Two fairly recent notes within a fortnight of each other, the first, a magnum from the Château: deep, mature, orange-tinged (a recognisable feature of many '75. 'Rusty', tannate of iron); loads of flavour but unbalanced. Another magnum, similar appearance; somewhat medicinal nose; sweet, rich, 'seaweed' and fruit. Very tannic. Last tasted Oct 2002 *** M.B.
