A cloisonné-enamel brazier (furo) for tea gatherings
(20th Century), inlaid wire signature Dai Nippon Hayashidani zo [Hayashi Tanigoro]
Of globular form on three stump feet and pierced with two side lozenges outlined in gilt copper, the exterior enamelled with white phoenixes worked in thin and thick silver wire on a ground of black enamel, with a stylized cloud motif in silver wire surrounding the openings on either side, the interior also enamelled; inlaid wire signature on foot
