A gilt bronze figure of Vajrapani
Tibeto-Chinese, 18th Century
Standing in alidhasana, with his left hand holding the vajra and his right in apanamudra, wearing a tiger skin, garland of heads, beaded festooned jewelry and a flowing scarf, his animated face with a thick red moustache and bared fangs, three bulging eyes and brushy brows, his flaming hair secured with a tiara of skulls
