A gilt bronze figure of Padmasambhava as the Medicine Buddha
Tibet, circa 17th century
Seated on a lotus base and wearing thick robes, jewelry and a Pandita cap, with silver inlaid eyes, his hair flowing over his shoulders and back, holding a bowl in his left hand and a myrobalan fruit in his right, the Eight Medicine Buddha Brothers backed by halos and mandorlas below and an inscription on the verso
