A RARE LARGE AUBERGINE-GLAZED ARCHAISTIC GU-FORM VASE

Molded around the waist with two taotie masks centered on raised flanges, the design repeated on the spreading foot, the flared neck relief-decorated with upright stylized cicada-form blades framing archaistic elements, the designs all reserved on a leiwen ground, covered all over and on the interior with a deep aubergine glaze stopping just above the unglazed base
