Lot Essay

Krüger was unable to trace an impression of this extremely rare print and could not illustrate it in his catalogue raisonné of Pechstein's prints, instead relying on Fechtner's description of this large, early lithograph. Probably only a handful of impressions were printed, some of which according to Krüger were hand-coloured with a light blue wash.
