Lot Essay

A similar chandelier but signed A. CHERTIER/ORFEVRE/A PARIS made by Alexandre Chertier was sold Christies New York, 20th April 2005. It is probable therefore that Lasage was one of the designers or foremen at the Chertier workshop who specialised in ecclesiastical work in silver and bronze.
