The rectangular top with three-quarter balustrade gallery above a scrolled frieze and hinged fall-front inset with a framed panel depicting gallant scene after Boucher, the satinwood interior fitted with a central compartment with letter tray and flanked to each side by six drawers, the angles headed by an urn, over a shaped apron set with three drawers centered by a bas-relief of Bacchic putti, on tapering legs joined by an undertier
