Thomas Bradford was apprenticed in 1673 to the highly regarded maker, Joseph Windmills. He was a Freeman of the Clockmakers' Company 1692-1705 and died pre 1710.

CASE: the associated case with carved cresting and spiral columns to the rising hood, trunk door with reserves of bird, vase and flower marquetry around glazed lenticle, further floral marquetry to the restored plinth, later bun feet DIAL: latched 10 in. square brass dial with replaced winged cherub spandrels to silvered chapter ring, date square to matted centre, replaced blued steel hands MOVEMENT: with five ring-turned and latched pillars, anchor escapement and countwheel strike on bell, re-instated bolt and shutter maintaining power, going and strike trains restored; pendulum, brass weights, case key
