COLT, HARTFORD, SERIAL NO. 93212 FOR CIRCA 1860
With octagonal sighted barrel with single line 'ADDRESS SAML COLT HARTFORD. CT.' and retaining traces of original blued finish, cylinder with faint naval engagement scene, the frame with hand engraved 'COLTS' PATENT', brass grip-strap and rounded trigger-guard each retaining traces of original silvered finish, ivory one-piece grips, and matching numbers throughout, the principle numbers each with a dot, the barrel, frame, hammer, grip-strap, trigger-guard and loading-lever lug each with Gustave Young style scroll engraving against a stippled ground, the hammer engraved with a wolf's head; together with a vintage brown leather tooled revolver holster with worn Texas maker's mark to the front
