ATTRIBUTED TO THE MICALI PAINTER, CIRCA 500-490 B.C.
Depciting Dionysos walking to left, holding a kyathos out in front, an ithyphallic satyr walking towards him, a maenad and another satyr following behind, a wide band of dotted loops above, the shoulder with two birds walking to left, ivy leaves between, band of dotted loops on the neck, chevrons around the rim, details incised and in added white, repaired and restored

Georges Daumas collection, France, acquired before 1948; thence by descent to Mrs M. Pierrel.
Inherited by the present owner in 1976.
