Preserving the left foot and elbow of Hercules, holding a lion-skin draped over his forearm and falling down in folds over a notched tree trunk, the head and paw dangling, the nose wrinkled, the small eye deeply recessed, with thick tufty mane, holding a snake in its jaws, the body coiling down the trunk, with small head and serrated fangs, on an integral rectangular base
