Lot Essay

A bifolium from the same Qur'an is in the Nasser D.Khalili Collection (David James, The Master Scribes, London, 1992, p.30-1, cat.3). Another folio is in Beit al-Quran in Bahrein (Beit al-Quran, Manama, 2000, p.87). The overlapping of the lines of text is very unusual and a distinctive feature of this Qur'an.
