Qur'an XI (sura yusuf) to XX (sura ta ha), Arabic manuscript on paper, 38 ff. (as numbered), each with 15ll. of text, the first and last line in large black thuluth within rectangular cartouches, the middle line in large gold thuluth with black outline in similar cartouche, the text between in smaller black naskh in narrower panels within double gold and black rules, with gold and polychrome roundel verse markers, sura heading in gold tawqi' within illuminated cartouches, text within gold and polychrome rules, gold and blue illuminated marginal markers, opening bifolium with finely painted headpiece with three cartouches with floral illumination and an invocation to God, text framed by bands of floral illumination, the illumination possibly added slightly later, minor damages, otherwise clean copy, in rubbed gilt stamped morroco binding
