Turkish manuscript on paper, of vertical format, each with a large tughra in red, black or gold speckled black ink, with a number of lines below in black and red diwani script, most firmans dated on the reverse, including one firman of Sultan Mehmed IV dated AH 1082, one firman of Sultan Mustafa II (r. 1695-1703 AD), two firmans of Sultan Ahmed III dated AH 1117 and 1136, one firman of Sultan Mahmud I dated AH 1143, one firman of Sultan Selim III dated AH 1229, one firman of Sultan Mahmud II dated AH 1232 and one firman of Sultan Abdul Mecid dated AH 1259, some with tears and repairs
