The dishes, maker's mark of Balbino, Turin, circa 1840, the ladles with maker's mark PB probably for a member of the Borroni family, Turin, circa 1840
Shaped circular, gadrooned with shells and foliage at intervals and applied with Royal accolé coats-of-arms, engraved with weights, inventory numbers and date 1859, the silver-gilt sauce ladles with fiddle-pattern tops chased with foliage and applied with similar arms, all marked on reverse

Engraved
The coats-of-arms are those of Savoy for Victor-Emmanuel II who became King of Sardinia in 1849. He became the first King of Italy in 1861. He married in 1842 Adelaïde, Archduchess of Austria.
