the four stands with the maker's mark of Johannes Theodorus Straetgens, Cologne, circa 1690, the other mounts probably 19th Century, the glass mainly early 18th Century
Comprising a teapot on gadrooned and foliate base, the spout mounted with a grotesque dragon, with foliate scroll handle and thumbpiece, the domed cover with applied floral ornament and finial, an oval sugar box with cover, three covered vases, four cups and saucers on stands, four egg-cups, two octagonal boxes with unscrewing covers and a vase-shaped cream-jug with cover, marked only on the rims of the small stands
