Lot Essay

Eugenia Huici Arguedas de Errazuriz was a wealthy Bolivian heiress to a silver mining business in Chile, whose family moved to Paris in 1882.
From 1900 she became one of the leading arbiters of fashion and taste in Paris and befriended such diverse talents as Serge Diaghilev, Pablo Picasso, Coco Chanel, Jean Cocteau and Jean-Michel Frank.
