Horizontally-set with a detachable black opal pendant weighing 19.14 carats, within a pierced pavé-set diamond and circular-cut alexandrite surround, flanked by tapered baguette and trapeze-cut diamonds, to the pierced diamond-set leaves and briolette-diamond terminals, joined to the four-row neckchain, mounted in platinum (may also be worn as a brooch), 49.0 cm long

Accompanied by report no. 0003013 dated 6 March 2000 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the 19.15 carat opal is natural black opal; with additional comment stating this gemstone displays large and slightly rolling natural colour flashes and grey body tone
