MARKED, PARIS, WITH THE CHARGE AND DISCHARGE MARK OF JEAN-BAPTISTE FOUACHE 1774-1780
circular black tortoiseshell box, the independent cover and base inlaid with swirling gold piqué-posé stripes and lacquer bands, the cover centred with a chased gold rosette within ribbon-twist border, the base with a monogram, the sides similarly decorated, the gold mounts applied with a wavescroll band
