Domaine and vineyard-embossed wax capsules. One badly damaged capsule. Domaine and vineyard-branded corks. Bin-soiled labels. Levels one 3 and three 4 cms. below base of corks
Tasting Note: Two notes, first in 1961: 'hugely impressive' but unready. Twenty-two years later: more than perfection, superb, probably at its peak, and, I think, still worth a note, however inadequate: unlike most red Burgundies, unusually deep in colour; endlessly unravelling scents; rich, great length with the DRC hallmark, glorious 'peacock's tail' of flavour spreading and lingering in the mouth.
