Each with a grey fossil marble top above a Greek key inlaid frieze with a drawer and a cube parquetry door centred by a trellis panel and with geometric strapwork borders enclosing a shelf, flanked on each side by similar panels and simulated fluted pilasters headed by guttae, with a foliate apron amd rosette-mounted feet, the feet reduced, the marble tops trimmed

By repute the Rothschild family, 148 Piccadilly, London, though not specified in inventories of Alfred (d.1918), Nathaniel Mayer (d.1915) or Nathaniel Charles Rothschild (d.1923) between 1899 and 1928.
