FINE, UNCUT COPY. Although the correctness of Henry Bentley's Correct Account has been called into question, it was another important step in the tradition of dedicated score-keeping started by Britcher and Epps. Bentley, a professional bowler employed by the Marylebone Club for many years, later became a respected umpire and lived close to Lord's at 12 Grove Street, Lisson Grove.
