A PALE CELADON JADE RECTANGULAR TABLE SCREEN AND ZITAN STAND
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
One side of the rectangular panel finely carved in relief to depict a gnarled flowering prunus tree growing beside a vertical cliff face, the reverse side similarly carved with a flowering tree peony, the material of pale celadon tone with areas of opaque inclusions; framed within elaborate zitan borders carved in relief with pairs of stylised confronting archaistic dragons above and below, amidst floral blooms interlinked with large leaves, the separate stand similarly carved in openwork, supported on either side by stylised archaistic dragon spandrels, further embellished with silver wires
