A Porcelain Coffee Pot
By the Batenin Factory, St Petersburg, circa 1820
Bulbous, on a spreading circular foot, the body and cover all over gilt with white line borders, the sides with shaped square reserves painted with river scenes, one with masted ship and column-crested overlook, the other with a cottage and distant manor, the spout moulded with foliage and spreading reeding, the handle with a white mask terminal with grisaille urn painted lozenge below, the cover with two similarly painted lozenges and acorn finial, marked under base with impressed Cyrillic mark 'S.Z.K.B.'
