A Porcelain Cup and Saucer
By the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St Petersburg, period of Nicholas I
Cylindrical with everted rim, the centre of the body finely painted with a lady in a white chemise dress with her right arm resting on a side table, within pearl guilloche gilt ciselé border, the pink ground painted with gilt ciselé scrolling anthemion and flower head lower frieze, further applied with relief gilt beading with upper beaded border, the handle formed as an upswept scroll with gilt rosette, the interior gilt, the saucer with conforming decoration, marked under bases with blue overglaze factory marks (2)
