A CONTINENTAL SILVER-MOUNTED NAUTILUS CUP
Unmarked, probably German, circa 1880
The domed base with plain rim and chased with dolphins amongst the waves with rockwork and bulrushes above, the stem formed as a merman supporting the shell, the shell enclosed within four masks and scroll straps and surmounted by a figure of Neptune seated on a sea monster
