Plain pear shaped, on three scroll and paw feet capped by shells, the ivory handle carved with foliage, the shaped cover chased with shells and capped by a conch finial, engraved with accolé coat-of-arms and supporters with coronet above, marked on base

Lot Essay

The coats-of-arms are those of Jean-Guillaume Baron Sloet van Oldruitenborgh and Jeanne-Julienne Sloet tot Westerholt who married in 1815.
The unidentified maker's mark is recorded by R. Stuyck, Belgishe Zilvermerken, Antwerp, 1984, no. 5046
