Two works in one volume, 16o (93 x 56 mm). Printer's device on title page of Book of Common Prayer (tear to title page of Hymns). Contemporary English dos-á-dos binding on beaded brocade background embroidered with a large central flower on both sides in dark orange, pink, gold, cream and maroon grounded with a stem of brown gilt thread with gold and red curlicue leaf decorations, each spine with alternating pink and blue flower decorations in 4 compartments, edges gilt (some pulling to the threads, upper hinges split); modern folding case. Provenance: E. O. Simpson (gift inscription in ink reading, "Edith from Mother on Dec. 17th, 1895. London. Her wedding day.").
