3 volumes, 8o (239 x 142 mm). 6 engraved titles (some light browning, first few leaves of volume three detached). Contemporary blue straight-grained moroccco, covers with wide gilt roll-tooled border of diamond shapes and other small tools, corners with floral tools on studded backgrounds, single gilt-ruled central paned with corner ornaments, spines in 5 compartments ith 4 raised bands, gilt-lettered in 3, floral and diamond tool in the others, doublures of blue morocco with wide gilt roll-tooled border, pink paper central panel with blindstamped floral border and corner pieces, board-edges gilt by C. Hering, edges gilt concealing fore-edge paintings of PENSHURST, TOTTENHAM MILLS, and HACKNEY (all rebacked, old spines laid down, some hinges split, extremities rubbed); maroon morocco gilt solander cases by Sangorski & Sutcliffe.
