CLASSICAL PERIOD, CIRCA EARLY 4TH CENTURY B.C.
The hollow boat-shaped element tapering at the front end to the earwire, threaded through the back, embellished with twisted wire filigree palmettes, loops and spirals, some centered with granules, a large hollow ball surrounded by granulation at the bottom "hull" of the boat, the boat bordered on each side by beaded wire, fronted by a grimacing Gorgoneion, her hair formed of twisted wires, granules and disks below; now joined to modern gold earwires
