The case with cast scroll handle to gilt-brass repoussé basket top, rectangular glazed side panels, 7 in. square brass dial with cherub spandrels to silvered chapter ring, matted centre with later date square and later false pendulum aperture signed 'Edmund Appley London', blued steel hands, movement with six ringed pillars (five latched), replaced verge escapement, rack strike on bell, formerly with pull quarter repeat; winding key, two case keys
