FIRST EDITION with the 1863 imprint on the title and the preface dated 1855. Beautifully illustrated with more than 1,500 eggs of European birds. Originally published in 10 parts, the work published was with various title pages: a title page with an 1855 imprint that omits the name of Paessler and a title without any place or date.
