Lot Essay

Towards the end of the season Tobacco legislation dictated a non JPS livery. The overalls were thus withdrawn and Team Lotus retained them. However, during this year Senna was victorious twice, winning in Spain and the USA; setting pole positions in Brazil, Spain, San Marino, USA, France, Hungary, Portugal and Mexico - with 4 second and 2 third places also to his credit.
